A cofounder and vice-president of Isuma, Canada's first Inuit media production firm, he was best known as a producer and writer of the company's 2001 feature film ''Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner''.〔"Revolution from the True North: Why a groundbreaking film of love, murder and revenge made by aboriginals in Canada's Arctic is winning praise all over the world". During his career with Isuma, he made the short films ''The Qidlarsuaaq Expedition'' and ''Through Eskimo Country''.
